The BDE course at Royale Driving Academy is structured to give students a thorough and practical education in driving fundamentals, safety techniques, and confidence-building skills. Here’s a closer look at each component of the course:
20 Hours of E-Learning Content: This segment covers essential driving knowledge, including traffic laws, road signs, the mechanics of driving, and emergency response techniques. These classes also focus on developing good driving habits, situational awareness, and defensive driving strategies, which are vital for preventing accidents.
10 Hours of Online Assignment: Students have access to online modules that allow them to study at their own pace. These modules offer additional insights into safe driving practices, eco-friendly driving tips, and more advanced topics that supplement in-class learning. This flexibility makes it easy for students to complete course requirements according to their schedules.
10 Hours of In-Car Lessons: With our MTO-certified instructors, students receive hands-on training in real-world driving scenarios. Lessons are conducted one-on-one, focusing on practical skills like turning, parking, lane changes, highway merging, and safe driving in different weather conditions. Our instructors provide constructive feedback and support throughout each lesson to build confidence and readiness.
BDE Certification for Insurance Discount: Completing our MTO-approved BDE course allows students to obtain a Driver’s License History (DLH) from ServiceOntario, which can be presented to insurance companies for potential premium discounts (up to 20%). This discount can offer significant savings over time and is one of the main financial benefits of taking the BDE course.
Flexible Scheduling: At Royale Driving Academy, we understand the need for flexibility, so we offer a variety of class times and convenient local pickups for in-car lessons. Our course structure allows students to balance learning with other commitments, making it accessible for everyone.
