The G2 Road Test Prep course is structured to help students develop a solid foundation in core driving skills, covering all aspects of the G2 road test criteria to ensure they’re fully prepared for test day. Here’s what the course covers:
Basic Driving Techniques: The G2 test assesses fundamental driving skills such as safe starting and stopping, smooth acceleration, and speed control. Our instructors work with students to develop these basics, building a strong foundation that leads to safe, consistent driving.
Maneuvering and Parking: Parallel parking, three-point turns, and roadside stops are critical elements of the G2 test. Our instructors provide hands-on guidance, offering tips and techniques for accurate parking and maneuvering. Students will have ample time to practice these skills to build confidence and proficiency.
Lane Changes and Blind Spot Checks: The G2 test requires drivers to change lanes safely and check their blind spots effectively. Our instructors help students master these techniques, emphasizing safe lane changes, correct signaling, and the habit of double-checking blind spots for road safety.
Navigating Intersections and Turns: Proper intersection handling, such as making safe left and right turns, yielding, and following traffic lights, is crucial for the G2 test. Students will practice navigating various intersection types, learning how to assess and respond to traffic flow accurately and efficiently.
Practice on G2 Test Routes: Familiarizing students with the actual road test routes is a key part of our course. This practical, route-based training reduces test-day stress and helps students anticipate common route challenges, such as busy intersections, stops, and other real-world situations they’ll encounter during the test.
Vehicle for the G2 Road Test: To make test day stress-free, we offer the option to use a fully-insured, MTO-approved vehicle for the G2 test. This means students can skip the worry of finding a suitable car and focus on performing their best during the test.
